Dustin Schell: biography
Award Winning Filmmaker Dustin Schell’s films have been exhibited throughout the USA, as well as in Central and South America, Europe, Australia and Southeast Asia. Under his production company, St. Germain Films, Schell’s first short, Quintessence, received First Prize at the 2003 Rhode Island International Film Festival, Best Short Drama at QCinema in Forth Worth, TX and the 2005 Jurors’ Award at the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance’s DIGit Media Arts Exposition in Narrowsburg, NY. Schell produced the 2008 short film, The Back Room, directed by Greg Ivan Smith which has earned seven competitive honors. His most recent directorial effort, The Housetaurant, a co-production with Ashcan Films, is currently on the festival circuit. Schell has worked as an Editor, Assistant Director, Script Supervisor, and Art Director. He studied theater at University of Wisconsin at Madison and trained at New York’s Circle in the Square Theatre School. Born in Dallas and raised in Wisconsin, Schell lives and works in New York City.
