“Ever since I can remember, I’ve had this recurring dream in which a highly idealized version of our world is rubbed out by a crushing expanse of matter, which begins as a speck but goes on – expanding.  This happens almost instantly, and then I wake up – feeling somehow responsible.  When I awoke this morning that feeling was gone.  In it’s place was nothingness.”
